Hypopigmentation in skin of color often appears more prominently than in lighter skin and, as a result, is often more bothersome to patients with skin of color. Target inflammation while avoiding overuse of potent topical corticosteroids: consider topical calcineurin inhibitors, PDE4 inhibitors or dupilumab to target inflammation.
